What Materials are Available?
There is a multitude of different materials that personalized cooking utensils are made out of. Some of these include bamboo, plastic, wood, and metal.
Plastic
Not all plastic is created equal. Some plastic products are created with BPA which is actually called bisphenol A. BPA is an industrial chemical. It has been used to make some plastics for over 80 years. It is also thought to be linked to fertility problems, male impotence, heart disease, and other conditions.
All products made from our plastic are BPA free. This will give you peace of mind that it is safe to put into your mouth without worry.
Acacia Wood
Acacia wood is a natural substance, and our wood products are not coated with anything toxic.
Acacia wood has natural resonance. It is primarily used because it is 55% harder than European White Oak. Its density rates measure 62 pounds per cubic foot. Marble’s density is 80lbs/cubic foot which can show you how strong this wood is, and why it makes such great kitchen utensils.
Bamboo
All the bamboo that we use is grown organically. It needs no irrigation, pesticides, or fertilizers. It is also renewable and grows up to three feet in one day.
One great aspect of Bamboo is that it is 16% harder than hard maple, and can release 33% more oxygen than a tree while absorbing two times more carbon dioxide.
Bamboo is also 100% biodegradable, less porous than hardwoods, soaks up less water, and harbors fewer bacteria. This makes Bamboo one of the most ultimate materials to use for kitchen utensils.
It is important to take care of bamboo products because they are natural. Each cooking utensil might vary in color and darkness of the laser engraving. It is important to hand wash in order to ensure years of beautiful presentation.
