Doing something over and over again is very, how do I say it? Very frustrating. There is no room for growth nor something adventurous. Like eating your favorite meal for example, surely it’s pleasurable and satisfying, but a whole week with nothing new to consume will definitely kill your taste buds.
You can’t stay in one place for the rest of your life, you must learn to explore, move on and embrace life for what it is, and that is its nature of forever changing. Same can be said with decorating and styling a home.
Over the years, I have seen the same old picture over and over again, and as an interior designer, this is very stressful. We have to come up with new ideas to bring a home’s potential to the highest possible level so that people will feel comfortable and happy living in them, and recently, I have tried experimenting with mirrors and after careful consideration of all the possible outcomes, I can say that I have gained enough ideas to turn them into works of wonders in the home.
5 Ways on How to Style Your House With Mirrors
So if you feel that your house is missing the edge and style that you want, take time to read this and discover how exciting and helpful mirrors are in styling your home.
Multiple Wall Mirrors
Whoever said that one is enough? You can turn a plain, blank old wall into a wonderful and interesting work of art by hanging multiple mirrors of different shapes and sizes on it. Different colored frames can also add style and artistry to the bunch. You can also add big or small mirrors, line them up together or put them in different places, it’s up to you!
Mirror Hall
If a wall of mirrors isn’t enough, then a hall full of mirrors is the one to go for! Turn an extra room or living room into a wonderful, mysterious and attractive piece of art. Hang every style, shape, color, and kind of mirror you can get your hands on! It will give a sense of self to whoever walks down or enters the room that I can assure you.
Wall of Mirror, in the Bathroom!
A bathroom is sometimes a place where we like to stay for an hour or so, just washing the dirt of the past away, especially in the tub, where we are able to lie down in a pool of relaxing, preferred temperature water. Well to make things more relaxing and stylish, add a mirror wall next to your bathtub. This is a completely new take on making shower or tub time into me time.
Oversized Bedroom Mirror
Adding an oversized mirror in your bedroom is actually a great idea because you won’t have to worry about not seeing the rest of your body. This is perfect especially when you are trying new outfits or shoes.
Just get a full body or oversized mirror with a frame of your choice (If you would ask me, get one with a more vintage looking frame) then just put it against your bedroom wall. You can decorate it with laces or whatever you see fit than style the day away for as long as you like.
Entrance Odd Shaped Mirrors
Oddly shaped, geometric mirrors are perfect for styling your house entrance. Has it installed near the front door so that once your guest walks through your household door, he or she can take a few whiffs at the mirror before approaching or seeing you? You may ask why you should get odd shapes right? Well mainly because of style and abstract artistry, plus it is very attractive to the eyes and is something worth looking at and admiring.
Multiple Colored Frame Mirror
Lastly, you can add style to your home with a multicolored frame for mirrors. A splash of blue, red, and orange to the frame is really interesting and attractive to look at. You can also try other combinations, preferably one that will go with your wallpaper or motif, then hang it to whatever part of the house you want.
